On April 2nd, GOLD+BETON will host an exhibition opening with Agasshin Magazine, dedicated to the book “Are They Pinned? Like a Moth.” Born in exile and shaped by memory, this publication resulted from three years of cross-continental collaboration. Bringing together a collective of artists, it explores themes of body and home through personal reflections on movement, displacement, and belonging.
The exhibition unfolds around key ideas of nostalgia, family, childhood, and native land, offering intimate glimpses into places left behind, revisited, or never fully escaped. Initiated by Agasshin, a decolonial beauty zine for confronting racism in russia and its satellite states, the project expands an exhibition space into a platform for dialogue. Artists: Adelya, Altan Khaluun Darkhan, Dasha Zarubina, Marzhan Alpysbayeva, lena, nata, Sonya Jung Shin Ahn.
“Are They Pinned?” is the first of a series of interdisciplinary exhibition happenings invited by SPA Recordings and is hosted by Dasha Zarubina and Misha Kurilov
